"Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you."

- Frank Lloyd Wright

The biggest challenge in taking photos of nature, or anything for that matter, is to do the subject justice; to accurately and fairly document the beauty of the environment. I don't remember where I read it but a photographer stated something along the lines of nature being the true artist and the photographer simply being the observer. Looking out of the float plane window as we flew over glaciers, mountains, eddies, and rivers, this scene captivated me; the aliveness of the earth; the organic and forceful structure of it; the innumerable shades of color that abound in every corner and yet we barely take time to notice it and even more rarely do we get to observe it in such a sweeping fashion.
