Nearing Las Vegas, New Mexico, February 2012
After packing up our Honda Fit and hitting the road for the entirety of 2012, we decided to take a thousand mile detour, coupled with various side-detours along the way to the Southwestern United States. We found ourselves on mostly unkempt backroads dodging pot holes and various trailers covered in tarps. Amidst the decay of manmade objects was a glistening field of freshly frosted trees; pure, simple beauty with one particularly brilliant tree tucked away acting as a beacon or perhaps a spotlight of sorts, guiding one towards the natural.
