Torrey Pines, California, February 2012
The idea of coming to the end of a place has long been intriguing to me; where the road goes no farther; where the proverbial sidewalk ends. I think that's why the ocean is so peaceful and totally terrifying to me; it extends for what seems to be forever. The waves roll ever into shore while the current pulls one into the expanse demanding a reverence for the power before you. Perspective is shifted and ratios become skewed and peace can be found by momentarily losing yourself. *This photograph was also picked up by Pixar in the main Steve Jobs Building as inspiration for the Finding Dory film.
